Luggage panic

Ok I've just started to pack my bags for London now on saturday and I'll be there for five days. And this is madness; my bag is allready heavy and I haven't gone shopping yet! The last time we were there, we had to pay £70 cus it was too heavy and we couldn't just throw something out we just bought! I wonder how this will go, haha. This time I will just bring one pair of heels cus I think I prefer to run around in flats (but two pair of heels would be nice though..but it's too heavy now. ) Tomorrow I'll show you a video of the mess. Am I the only one here who got a luggage thats full before the shopping trip started!? I need more kilos please!! Messy M.

..and I'm happy to be a part of global CC's on the lovely laculturecreatorsblog! Thank you for the sweet text: )

Fringy days

I'm a fringe girl deluxe with a straight fringe, it almost looks like a helmet!! It's good cus you can hide your eyebrows too, haha. Every week I have to cut it and it's not friendly all the times trust me. First I take my straightener and make my fringe straight and nice and then cut cut cut. Those days when I'm in a hurry are the worst days. I'm standing in my bathroom and I think everything is under control with the scissor, it's not. Sometimes the right fringe side has been 2 centimeters shorter than the left and thats bad, especially if you're going to meet someone and you want to have the perfect hair- it just never turns up that way! I just fixed my fringe today but I promise that I have to fix it before I'm leaving on saturday too, it's growing so fast. The other two photos is just a "good-morning sunshine-hair-at-home". As you can see on the photo the first one is "before" and then the wo wa wo result, voila! Helmet fringe forever!

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 premiere

It was the premiere of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 in NYC last night. I love Alexis dress, and Blakes dress too! I don't think that I look good in orange but the dress suits Blake well. Her friends from Gossip Girl was also there and I just can't wait til season 2 is coming. And oh I want Alexis dress, my wardrobe is still waiting for the one shoulder dress..

Tartytart tartan!

Sorry for this late little post but I've been doing other stuff now when it's so hot hot. On saturday me and my mum are flying to london, yay, and I have to admit that it would be nice to get some new autumn clothes even though I still want it to be summer. I just love tartan prints it's so nice and chic! And it looks so good on men too (think a little cute bow tie with a red tartan print on a black shirt, oh oh.) There was a lot of tartan prints out on the fall 08 runway. Would you wear it this fall? I'd wear it anytime!

This breaks my heart

This is why I'd never wear fur.

Diamonds are forever, right?

Oh my! Victoire de Castellane is the jewelry designer for Dior Joaillerie and I just love all her work. I think she got a lovely style too. How amazing wouldn't it be if someone proposed to you and gave you a ring like this one? My oh my! You have to check the website, there is so much pretty jewelry but I don't think my wallet is good enough for that though!
Whats your fav piece of jewelry?

PS: I'm still trying to get those damn Miu Miu's to love my wide feet, but if someone knows how to make them love me that would be lovely.

There is always time for a cupcake or two

This is so funny. Haha, if you want to hear wonderful swedish, go ahead;

ps: isn't our outfits amazing? haha!

God bless hats

The weather here in Sweden this week has been hot hot. I wonder how long it will continue. Hmprf. When the sun is hotter than hell, I end up inside with my white hat. I even had it outside when I took my dog for a little walk, god how warm isn't he these days? My tights are my best friends so my legs are whiter than my arms, but thank god for my nivea sunblock. London people, if you see a white hat walking around oxford street next saturday, that's not an old lady, it's la Myriam! Ok. I promise, that hat won't be in my luggage for sure.

Minimarket für alles

I've been clicking on the minimarket website for many days now and the autumn/winter collection isn't up yet. Gah. Well soon it will be I think. They have amazing, cute dresses and I love my dress from the spring/summer collection 08 (the checked purple/blue/yellow one I've got on a photo if you scroll down.) I think I need to buy more from swedish brands, there is a lot of yum stuff out there!

Painful love

It was a hectic day today. I've been waiting for these shoes to come now for a few days and yes they were finally here. The thing is that I'm a size 7 uk and 8 sometimes (big feet miji) and these shoes were size 7. I tried them on...had to squeeze in my foot a bit and yay they were on. I have to admit that my toes hurts a bit..but I can make it! Love hurts, right?

No graduation without Betsey

The graduation last summer was definitely one of the best days in my life. After 12 years in school, this was the final day for us. Me and my mum went to London two months before the big graduation to get a lovely dress for the big day. I did some researchs after pretty dresses and I found Betsey Johnson. My god, those dresses! They are like candy. I saw this beautiful, white fluffy dress and I decided that it was the one I'd love to wear for the graduation.

The Betsey store in London is in Covent Garden, so I wrote down the address and we were on our way. The store is so cute and everything in there is just amazing. When we arrived there I was looking at all the dresses, trying to find the white cake dress! And there it was. In my size! I had to try it on (even if the price was higher than on the us website.) It was so pretty and I was sure that I couldn't get a better dress. I can still try it on sometimes and I don't regret that I bought it. You wouldn't do that either! Thank god for the internet and for Betsey dresses - makes your life a bit better (sometimes.)

CoverMum

What do these mums have in common? Covergirls for Vogue! Claudia, Natalia, Isabeli and Kate. I wonder if they will be on the cover when they're 50 years old too (ok maybe not). Which of these Vogue covers is your fav MM (model mama) cover? I think they all look great.

Jump in my wardrobe, please

I've been talking about this one shoulder dress before but I do need one. Now! For me it would be a dream if I could get a dress from Lanvin's fall 08 collection or one from Roland Mouret, but no dear Myriam, you won't be able to get one. Gah. I was just checking urbanoutfitters.co.uk and topshop.com to see if they had something nice as I'm going to London 2th August for some shopping. They had some shoulder dresses and maybe, they will come home with me to Sweden. We'll see. The urbanoutfitters dress were only £28 and the Topshop were £60. I prefer a black one, it would look good with a big belt in the waist but the Topshop dress is so cute.
What do you think?

Inspiration

I think it's fun to put all the inspiration I find in a little book. It can be anything from the runway, plastic stuff, makeup or photos. When you're sitting on the bus, reading a magazine, maybe you'll find fun inspiration in it. Then just save the picture or what it is, and when you are back at home, put it in a box or on a paper. When your inspiration is gone, poff, open up the box and your inspiration will come to you!

Pat McGrath - a true artist

The John Galliano s/s 08 is one of my fav shows ever. I just adore everything, the lace, the dresses, the ribbons, the gold hair, the shoes(!) and all the girls characters. But it wouldn't be so good if it wasn't for the makeup. So adorable. I just love Pat McGrath, she's a genius!
